Pakistan Women’s U19 team, led by captain Komal Khan, will begin their ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup campaign on 18 January, facing the United States of America (USA) at the Johor Cricket Academy Oval in Johor, Malaysia.

Following the opener, Pakistan will take on England on 20 January and Ireland on 22 January, with all matches being held at the same venue. The top three teams from each of the four groups—A, B, C, and D—will progress to the Super Six stage. Teams finishing last in Groups A and D, as well as B and C, will play in the last-place play-off on 24 January.

During the Super Six stage, teams will play two matches, carrying forward points, wins, and Net Run-rate (NRR) from the group phase. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on 31 January, with the final scheduled for 2 February.

In preparation, Pakistan played warm-up matches against Nigeria and Australia on 13 and 15 January at Bayuemas Oval. The team won their game against Nigeria by 11 runs but lost to Australia by 54 runs (DLS method).

The squad arrived in Malaysia on 11 January after completing a nine-day training camp at Karachi’s Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre. During the camp, the players participated in scenario matches under the supervision of head coach Mohsin Kamal, assistant coach Muhammad Hanif Malik, and fielding coach Nahida Khan.

Pakistan captain Komal Khan shared her excitement for the upcoming matches: “Our team has been together for a while now, and we are more passionate than ever to perform on this big stage. We’ve put in a lot of effort in recent weeks, and we’re aiming to bring our best game when we face USA, England, and Ireland,” she said.

“We have the talent and variety in both our batting and bowling, and after the warm-ups, we’re all excited to play these competitive matches,” she added.
