However, he also cautioned against underestimating Pakistan, acknowledging them as a potential threat. “Pakistan has been playing some outstanding ODI cricket lately,” Ponting remarked. “Predicting their performance in major tournaments is never straightforward, but they seem to have improved in several areas.”
