The grand opening of the newly renovated National Bank Stadium will take place on February 11, featuring renowned singers Shafqat Amanat Ali, Ali Zafar, and Sahir Ali Bagga.
Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi shared the announcement on Sunday, promising an exciting celebration ahead of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, which will be hosted by Pakistan from February 19 to March 9.
Attendees can expect live music, a dazzling fireworks display, and a spectacular light show.
“Get ready for an unforgettable night,” Naqvi posted on X. “The grand inauguration of Karachi Stadium will take place on February 11, with stunning musical performances by Ali Zafar, Shafqat Amanat, and Sahir Ali Bagga, along with an incredible fireworks and light show to brighten the sky.”
Karachi’s National Bank Stadium will host three matches during the Champions Trophy 2025, including the opening match between Pakistan and New Zealand on February 19.
The Champions Trophy will feature eight teams competing in 15 matches across Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai. Group A will include Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B will consist of Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia.
