Pakistan’s batter, Babar Azam, has been named in the ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year for 2024. Known for his elegant stroke play and incredible consistency, Babar’s performance throughout the year has been pivotal in T20I cricket.

In 2024, Babar played 24 T20I matches, scoring 738 runs with an impressive six half-centuries. His strong performances across the year earned him the sixth spot in the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings.

Other players who have been named in the ICC Men’s T20I Team of the Year include India’s Rohit Sharma, who led his team to their first T20I World Cup title in over a decade, and Australia’s Travis Head, who continued to impress with his explosive batting at the top of the order. England’s Phil Salt and West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran also made notable contributions, with Salt leading the charge for England with his aggressive batting, while Pooran played a key role as a finisher for the West Indies.
