Champions Trophy: UAE Gears Up For Blockbuster Pakistan-India clash
‘These games are more than just cricket; they’re a celebration,’
DUBAI: The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) is all set to host the high-octane ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 clash between fierce rivals Pakistan and India, scheduled to be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium here on February 23.
ECB COO Subhan Ahmed, in an interview with a local cricket news website, highlighted that the unique multicultural environment in the UAE further fuels the enthusiasm surrounding the blockbuster between two arch-rivals.
“With so many Indians and Pakistanis living here, these games are more than just cricket; they’re a celebration,” stated Ahmed.
“Fans from both sides come together to support their teams and enjoy the sport, creating an electric atmosphere. We expect these matches to be very entertaining and hope to see record-breaking support from fans,” he added.
Ahmed also provided an update regarding the ticket sale for the highly-anticipated clash and ensured that the cricket fans would attend the extravaganza without facing hurdles.
“Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, ensuring fans from both India and Pakistan, as well as others, can enjoy the action.”
“We’re committed to ensuring cricket lovers can attend without unnecessary hurdles.
“The UAE offers unmatched facilities and government support, making it a prime location for events, even at short notice.”
It is worth mentioning here that Dubai will host at least four Champions Trophy 2025 matches, including all three of India’s group-stage fixtures and the first semi-final.
The final of the tournament is scheduled to be played in Lahore but if India qualify then it will also be held in Dubai.
