Rawalpindi: With the much-anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025 approaching, Pindi Cricket Stadium is undergoing significant upgrades to ensure it meets the high standards required for the prestigious event.

Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Mohammad Naqvi recently visited the stadium to inspect the ongoing renovation work and evaluate the final preparations ahead of the tournament.

The renovation project at this prestigious stadium has been progressing swiftly, with the focus primarily on upgrading the main pavilion and media boxes.

As the tournament nears, the installation of new chairs in the enclosures is in its final stages, marking a key milestone in the project.

During his visit, Chairman PCB Naqvi reviewed the progress in various areas of the stadium, particularly the pavilion, media boxes, and VIP boxes.

“The renovation work is nearing its completion. The main pavilion and media boxes have been completed, and the installation of chairs is set to wrap up in the coming days,” said Naqvi.

He also took time to inspect the proposed security arrangements for the tournament, emphasizing the PCB’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and safe experience for both players and fans.

“After a long time, we’re hosting an ICC tournament in Pakistan. All preparations are complete for the grand staging of the Champions Trophy, and we will make this event memorable,” he said.

The PCB chairman added that the PCB is determined to deliver the best possible experience for cricket fans and the international cricket community.

“We hope cricket fans will get to see the best cricket during this event. The atmosphere will be electrifying, and we are eager to showcase Pakistan’s hospitality and love for the game,” he said.

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host three important matches during the Champions Trophy, starting with a clash between Bangladesh and New Zealand on February 24.
