Sarfaraz Ahmed reveals his semi-final picks for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has revealed his picks for the semi-finalists of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Despite Pakistan being placed in a challenging group, Sarfaraz believes four teams stand out as the strongest contenders for the semi-finals: Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, and Australia.
In an exclusive interview with Cricket Pakistan, Sarfaraz shared his thoughts on the tournament’s competitive nature.
“Pakistan’s group is quite tough, but in my opinion, the four strongest teams for the semi-finals are Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, and Australia,” he stated.
The eight-team tournament is set to begin on February 19 and will conclude on March 9. Defending champions Pakistan will kick off the competition against New Zealand in the opening match. One of the most anticipated fixtures, the high-voltage clash between India and Pakistan, is scheduled for February 23.
The final will take place on Sunday, March 9, at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. However, if India reaches the final, the match will be relocated to Dubai.
